Program notes

Humoresque variations on the famous Dalmatian folk song about the Fisherman.

Inspired by the works of Italian masters like D. Scarlatti or F. Couperin who is credited with blending the French and Italian styles.

Driven by the interest in rhythmic expression and performer's virtuosity, sometimes even improvisation, Kuljerić often reached for particular music forms like toccata, gavotte, passacaglia or waltz. A practical musician himself, the author always sought to write for the instrument and for the performer.
